def ~ Music Mania is an extremely contagious disease.
Symptons include foot tapping, head banging, voluntary body spasms sometimes referred to as 'dancing', and in rare cases, locking oneself in their bedroom for hours on end.
 
Infection first gains entry to the body via the eardrum & quickly takes hold of the brain & remainder of the body. Once a person contracts Music Mania, it then spreads by word of mouth, or directly subjecting uninfected persons to the infected's own particular strain of music via a 'stereo', a 'radio' or sometimes via a portable infection unit commonly called a 'walkman' or 'mp3 player'. Unfortunately, to date no cure has been found for Music Mania.
 
"Yes, I was diagnosed with Music Mania as a very early age. I caught the infection from a friend who subjected me to a particularly nasty strain called 'Transvision-Vamp'. This strain began evolving and was present solely in the 1980's and fortunately for the general public has not made a comeback. My own infection has since evolved from bad pop through metal, punk, dance, happy hardcore, power metal and I have now become quite tolerant of most strains. Hopefully in my 40's or 50's the infection will begin to settle and I can begin to lead a 'normal' life again!"
